Notes for Joseph Jason JOFFRION, II

Joseph Jason Joffrion, (II.) was very active in the affairs of Avoyelles
Post and its legal activity. He served for many years as an Alcalde of
the Post. His name appears on many documents indicating his service as
an arbitrater, estimator, or taker of inventory and witnessed various
official proceedings. It is impossible to say that all the Joffrions of
Avoyelles Parish are descended from him. He one brother named Jasonh
Joffrion, (Jr.) and another named Joseph C. Joffrion. We know of their
existence; because, they were married to different wives and all three
produced families. There was also another Joffrion family living at
Point Coupee at the same time who may not have been related.
