Gerald Thomas LaBorde, Sr.

Gerald Thomas LaBorde, Sr. was an attorney. He had a love of music and
during the 1960's he was a member of a band called "The Jokers" which was
the most popular rock'n roll band in New Orleans. Gerry put himself
through college and law school by playing music with the band. On April
1998, he was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Gerry had many friends in Avoyelles Parish and went hunting there every
year. During the 1980's there was a terrible plane crash in Avoyelles
Parish in which three or four men died. Gerry was the attorney in this
case.
