Notes for Ellis Paul LABORDE


He went to work at New Orleans City park after WW II and in 1950 was
named General Manager.
Ellis Paul LaBorde was on the second boat to land at Normandy on
D-Day 1944. Fought at the battle of the Bulge.
A memorial was erected in his honor at the City Park in June 1997
across from St. Dominic's Church where he attended.

"Cpl. Ellis P. Laborde, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Laborde, Bordelonville,
husband of Rena Bordelon, Bordelonville, attended Bordelonville H. S.
Entered Army in 1942, trained at Camp Wheeler, GA. Served in EAME
Theater. Discharged in 1945."
