Notes for Jean Baptiste LEMOINE, I

Jean Baptiste Lemoine, I. was baptized at Pointe Coupee on September 24,
1741. He was twice married and had at least 15 children. Of the 15,
twelve were males, and of the twelve, eight produced families of
Avoyelles citizens. It is probable that practically all Avoyelles
Lemoines are his descendants. He died in May 1826. His widow, Agnes
Clause witnessed the marriage of her youngest child, Sebastien Lemoine on
June 15, 1830.
