She was baptized March 25, 1843 at St. Paul's in Avoyelles Parish, LA.
Godparents were Pierre Ducote and Elizabeth LaBorde, according to Edna
Claire (Carbo) Rabalais.

Zelmein LaBorde was cited by Edna Claire (Carbo) Rabalais with the
notation that she may have been Zelina LaBorde. It seems more likely
they are the same as her marriage date to Celestin Dauzat was cited by
Mrs. Rabalais to be April 11, 1818, at the age of 18.
