Notes for Mary Jane SNOWDEN

Birth dates vary according to source. The Snowden Family Bible cites
October 1, 1780 and other sources state September 24, 1786 in Dromore,
County Down, Northern Ireland, according to church records. She was
baptized October 1, 1786 at the First Presbyterian Church of Dromore.

Mary Jane Snowden, along with several other children, accompanied their
parents from Ireland. One child died at sea and it is believed she was
Rachel who was born March 27, 1789 in Ireland. This information of one
of Samuel and Mary's children being buried at sea is in the Burrows
Family Bible; however, the years of their arrival in America do not
correspond with the church records in Ireland.
