Notes for John H. CHINNIS

Brother John H. Chinnis of Muskogee, Oklahoma died suddenly last Sunday
morning in Ryan, Oklahoma where he was visiting and where he had been
preaching for some time. Bro. Chinnis became a member of the Church of
Christ early in life and had been a minister of the gospel for 21 years
when his life of godliness was brought to its close in his 69th year. He
was a deep student of the Bible and his life and preaching led many to
salvation.

The body was brought to Pilot Point for burial beside the wife and son
who had preceded him to that fairer land six years ago. Funeral services
were held by Bro. Billy Wolfrum at the Pavillion on Wednesday at 4:30 and
interment made at the Masonic Cemetery.

Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor and
Encel Chinnis of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Winston Chinnis and daughter, Miss
Ernest of Oklahoma City and Mr. and Mrs. Bransford of Ft. Worth.
