Karol died from an automobile accident.

The Hemet News- May 20, 1981- Pg. 11 col. 2-3 Karol Sorells- Services for
Karol
F. Sorrells, 34, of Hemet, who died Monday in an automobile accident near
the
Nevada State line, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harford Funeral
Home.
Burial will follow in the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be
today until 8 p.m. at Harford Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sorrels was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Hemet. She lived in the
community for
all but 14 years of her life. She was an honor queen in the Job's
Daughters.
A 1964 graduate of Hemet High School, she was a student at the University
of
Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was majoring in sociology. She was a
homemaker.
Her survivors include her widower, Charles "Chuck" Sorrells; her parents,
James and "Jerrie" Slaton of Hemet; her children, Michael and Kristina;
and a
brother, James Slaton Jr., of Midland, Texas.
