Services Friday for Augie Slaton, 85. Funeral services for Augie
Slaton, 85,
who died February 16 at his home, will be held Friday afternoon at 2
o'clock at
the Harford Funeral Home in Hemet.
The Rev. John O. Hedwall of the Hemet First Christian Church will
officiate.
Burial will follow in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Slaton was born in Madisonville, Kentucky, on January 21, 1886 . He
had
lived in this community since 1924. He was a self-employed carpenter
since
1937.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Gertrude Slaton, of the home address ,
961
Leslie Drive; a son James O. Slaton of Hemet; a daughter Mrs. Francis
McGrew of Torrence; two brothers, Arnett Slaton and William Slaton, two
sisters , Mrs.
Virginia Wyatt and Mrs. Helen Pritchett, all of Madisonville; four
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
