Obituaries
Gertrude S. Slaton- Services for Gertrude S. Slaton, 91, of Hemet, who
died
Wednesday in Hemet, will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Harford Funeral
Home.
The Rev. E. Hugh Young of First Christian Church will officiate. Burial
will
be at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
Mrs. Slaton was born Dec. 6, 1894 in Webster, Ky. She had lived in
California
62 years, in Hemet 40 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, James Slaton of Hemet, and a daughter, Frances
Brown
of Hawthorne.
Comment: she was born in Wanamaker, the countryside, now known as
Madisonville, Webster County, KY.
