Notes for Willis Everette HASELDEN, I
Willis Everette Haselden, I. began a Chevrolet dealership in Hemingway
during the 1930's. His younger brothers, Clarence Lovette Haselden and
Horrell Edwin Haselden, Sr. began their business careers in a one room
service station with repairs and automotive service. They acquired the
Ford dealership in 1941, and Haselden Brothers was established. The
Haselden Brothers also owned and operated a farm in partnership and
enjoyed fishing and family gatherings at their club house. Their
families were all active in church and community affairs in Hemingway, SC.
