Notes for George HUGGINS


George Huggins died December 28, 1857 near Manning at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Margaret Huggins Harvin, and is buried in the New Hope
Cemetery, Darlington County, near his old home and beside his first wife,
Catherine Letitia (Montgomery) Huggins. His second wife the former Mrs
Ingram is buried in the Manning Cemetery.

He was a planter of first quality, and maintained his plantation on
Lynches River beside that of his father, John Huggins.
