Notes for Carlis Alvin GASKINS


He has been cited as Carlos Alvena "Cag" Gaskins (b. 1837) based on the
1850 Census of Williamsburg County, SC. Tamara Lynn (Hanna) Weihe, 2nd
great-great grandaughter cites his name as Carlis Alvin Gaskins based
upon his grave marker. She has also identified the location of the
gravesite for Carlis Alvin Gaskins and Rowena Cox to be in a very small
and generally unknown cemetery in the Hanna Community in Florence County,
SC . The Turner Cemetery is located on Cain Branch Circle Road which is
a loop off of US 378 in the Hannah Community.

Epitaph on Tombstone: "TO LIVE IN HEARTS WE LEAVE BEHIND IS NOT TO DIE."
Name cited as Carlis Alvin Gaskins (b. 1841. d. March 31, 1906).
