The names and dates of birth for the John Eaddy Family were derived from
the following sources:
The names and dates of birth, only, appear in Bible, Dewey Eaddy,
Indiantown. The date of Daniel S. Eaddy's birth is in part (year) from
censuses. Other information was gleaned from legal documents reproduced
in part below.
Deed Book G, page 431. Williamsburg County Court House, Clerk of Court's
Office.
We, Rachel Eaddy, Ezekiel Gaskins, and Daniel Eaddy, all of Williamsburg,
being joint heirs of estate of late John Eaddy, for $5.00 paid by William
J. Tilton, quit claim 180 acres, Lynches Creek, Plat made by E. D.
Singletary 21 Sept. 1843. 21 Feb. 1853.
Witnesses:________(illegible) S. Gaskins, Julian O. Gaskins, Jesse Carter.

Know... that we William J. Tilton, Lydia his wife, Ezekiel Gaskins, and
Rebecca his wife and Daniel Eaddy and Martha his wife, that in
consideration of Sixty Dollars to Daniel Eaddy in hand paid by James H.
Stone of SC. District and the rest of us having received other land for
our share, we all jointly do grant, Bargain, Sell, and Release unto the
Said James H. Stone a Plantation... it being part of a tract of land
originally granted to Austin Stone, Senr., Dottson Stone, and William
James the 6 day of May 1811 containing 800 acres...

and the 103 Acres now sold to James H. Stone is the part that fell to
John Eaddy.

Other sources date the birth of John Eaddy December 9, 1786 and death
