Notes for Jean Baptiste BRINGOL, SR

Jean Baptiste Bringol, Sr. (also spelled Bringole and Brinjol) came to
America from France and arrived in New Orleans, LA on October 23, 1831.

Jean Baptiste Bringol, Sr. and his brother Ameal Jean Nicholas Bringol
were traders who traveled annually up the Mississippi River to the
trading post operated by James B. Smith, Sr. They were reported to have
met two of his daughters there at the store and later married them.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
