Notes for Joseph RABALAIS, II

Joseph Rabalais, II was not active nor prominent in Avoyelles colonial
affairs. He and Marieanne Louise Malbert moved to Natchitoches Post
about 1785. He cultivated a large tract of land described as Sections 58
and 59, Township 7, North, Range 5 West, located on the left descending
bank of the Cane River. This is about 2.5 miles east of Cloutierville,
Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
