Louisiana Cavalry. Enlisted October 4, 1861. Present on Baton Rouge,
Louisiana Rolls from May 1862 to February 1863. Present on Roll for
February 28 to June 30 1863. Elected Third Corporal on March 1, 1863.
Present on Rolls from November 1863 to February 1864. Federal Rolls of
Prisoners of War. Captured Moodey's Ferry, December 5, 1864. Sent to
New Orleans, Louisiana, December 19, 1864. Forwarded to Ship Island,
Mississippi, January 25, 1865. Transferred to Vicksburg, Mississippi,
May 1, 1865. Paroled at Camp Townsend, May 6, 1865."
