Notes for Bertha PREVOT

Bertha Prevot was born and reared in Mansura without speaking English.
She was educated by French nuns who taught only in French. French was
spoken in her home as it was in many of the small towns of that area.
All the local radio stations broadcasted the news in French.

Six of her sons saw service in WWII and for this she was honored by the
War Department.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
