Notes for Celeste Marie LABORDE

Celeste LaBorde
by
Judith Ann (Judy) LaBorde

Celeste LaBorde somehow found a way to go to college in the middle of the
Depression. There was some kind of special program and she attended a
school, I think in Natchitoches, LA. I believe she studied art. For
many years during her life in New York, she worked as a librarian near
her home in Long Island.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
