Volume 2, Book 1: "Lemoine, Leon. Private, Company G, 1st Louisiana
Cavalry. Enlisted October 4, 1861, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Present on
all Rolls to June 30, 1863. Absent on Rolls from November 1863 to
February 1864. Federal Rolls of Prisoners of War. Captured at
Jacksonborough, Tennessee, July 5, 1863. Taken prisoner August 4, 1863 in
Kentucky. Received at Military Prison, Louisville, Kentucky from Camp
Nelson, Kentucky on August 25, 1863. Sent to Rock Island Barracks,
January 22, 1864. Transferred for exchange on March 13, 1865. Received
March 23, 1865 at Boulwares and Cox's Wharf, James River, Virginia and
exchanged."
