Notes for Victoria DUCOTE

Her godfather was J.B. Ducote and Godmother was Marie Freyte'.
Victoria Ducote Laborde died when she was about 22-23 years old. She
was buried at Sacred Heart Church Cem. in Moreauville, La. Her grave is
one of several that was covered by Hwy 451 probably in the 1920's or
1930's.
This Victoria Ducote was identified thru interviews with Rosa Alice
LaBorde Grimes of St. John Village apartments, located next to the church
cemetery. She named Victoria's brothers and sisters and the presumed
match is made.
The records of marriage for the period at Sacred Heart Church in
Moreauville, were lost in a fire. I am content with the belief that this
is the Victoria Ducote I have looked for for so many years. My
great-grandmother that my father told of, under the road.
