Notes for Daniel BOFTZ

Daniel Boft (Hoft) was a native of Cassen, Diocese of Spire, Germany.
According to the official census of 1724 he was then living with his
father-in-law, Simon Kuhn, just north of New Orleans on the Mississippi
River and was then 20 years old which would place his birth at about
1704.

He was the progenitor of the Boftz family in Louisiana.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
