Notes for Howard Granville BUTLER

Howard was a WW II and Korean vet. He was a bottom turret gunner on
B-17's over Germany as a Sgt. in the army. He reenlisted in the army as a
1st Lt. and went to Korea. There he was blinded while on a low level
spotting mission days before being rotated back to the States.

Howard was a friend and mentor to everyone he met. He was probably the
only one that didn't realize he was blind. He never let it get in the way
of anything he tried. This was a great man to have known!

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
