This could be the same D. Laborde that was a Pvt. Co. G, Cons. Cres.
Regt. La. Inf. Enlisted CSA, 6/14/1864 at Marksville, La. Died 10/29/1864
at hospital , Trenton, (now West Monroe, La.) This hospital may have been
closer to Calhoun, La. His description is listed as fair complected, 5 ft
9 in tall black hair and eyes. Source "Records of La. Confederate
Soldiers viii Book 1
Donatien Laborde is listed in the 1850 census, record #326 as not
able to read or write.
