Notes for Gabriel CELLES-DUCLOS


Gabriel Celles-Duclos, also called Gabriel Celle called Duclos, was the
first of the family to emigrate from France to Canada. He was born at
Norai, France, the son of Jean Celle and Collette Pagnot of Norai.
Gabriel married, in Canada, Barbe Poisson, widow of Leonard Lacault and
daughter of Jean Poisson and Barbe Prevost of St. Jean Parish, Diocese of
Martagne, Perche, France. Gabriel Celles-Duclos, Sieur du Sailly, was a
civil and criminal judge at Montreal, Canada. He died at Montreal on
December 15, 1671.
