Notes for Elizabeth David WALTMAN

Elizabeth Waltman is identified in some records as the daughter of David
Waltman and Elizabeth Calrex, both natives of Germany. In other words,
she is identified as "Elizabeth David, widow of Bertze Waltman." In the
record of the baptism of a grandchild at Avoyelles in 1814, she is called
Elizabeth Waltman "of Redtown on the Monongahela."

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
