Notes for John W. KEEFFE, SR

Parents listed in lineage for John W. Keeffe are not certain; however,
there is strong circumstantial evidence which supports him being the
second son to William and Mary Keeffe of Marion District. Main problem
stems from dates given for birth for him and his brother, Ervin (Irving)
Keeffe. Tombstone data for birth of John W. Keefe/Keeffe reads February,
1828 whereas the birth date listed for Ervin (irving) Keeffe is October
1827. these dates only leave four months between children. Therefore
two possible scenarios exist. Either one of the birth dates in incorrect
which would not be unrealistic, or John W. Keeffe and Ervin (Irving)
Keeffe had different mothers. At any rate, neither scenario does not
change the assumption that John W. Keeffe was the son of William
Franklin Keeffe.
