Notes for Reddin TAYLOR

REDDIN TAYLOR

The following eulogy appeared in the minutes of High Hill Baptist Church,
November 17, 1889.

"Departed this life on the twenty fifth day of September A. D. 1889. Our
beloved brother Reddin Taylor, who united with the Original Free Will
Baptist Church of South Carolina about 1835. Who was solid in his
profession and lived a Consistent Advocate of the Doctrine of the
Original Free Will Baptist for about fifty years or more.

His last days were filled with misery and pain untold from the effects of
a cancer on his face. We trust that while his body is painless and
resting in the silent tomb, his soul is participating in the joys and
pleasures of the paradise of God.

Brother Taylor was born August 30, 1811... He leaves 5 children and many
grandchildren. A host of real grief stricken relatives and friends to
mourn their loss, also a grief stricken church where his presence will be
seen no more in this world, yet we bless GOD, for the comfort of that
hope that our loss is his eternal gain. High Hill Church members. J. B.
Moore, Pastor."
