Notes for Richard HANNA, SR

Richard Hanna, Sr. was believed to have signed a Confession of Faith and
Petition for incorporation of the Presbyterian Congregation of Indiantown
Church in 1788 along with 42 other heads-of-families. It is also known
that Richard Hanna, Sr. was one of the men of General Francis Marion in
the American Revolution. (Audited acct. of Richard Hanna, AA 3302-B, S.
C. Archives.)

He was believed to be the son of Robert Hanna who was a passenger, along
with his family, on the ship, Nancy which brought Protestant Irish
settlers to the area. See Robert Hanna for Council Journal Report.
