Notes for Margaret Jane BROWN

AUNT MARGARET
By
Vanik S. Eaddy, Ph. D.

Margaret Jane Brown was the younger sister of Rebecca Janethe Brown,
grandmother of Vanik S. Eaddy. She possessed a library of excellent
books which she encouraged reading. She was a talented and very gracious
lady who insisted on correct manners and sound nutritional habits. She
invited Leland and Vanik Eaddy to spend time at her home in Swansea, SC.

She was always an excellent hostess and a very special person. During
the middle to late 1950's she sold her property in Swansea and moved to
1210 Bull Street in Columbia, SC. As a college student, Vanik Eaddy
visited her on several occasions and in 1960-61, he rented a room from
her while stationed on temporary duty at Fort Jackson, SC.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to establish and defend the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.  To all of them we are deeply indebted and especially those who died for this cause.
