Notes for Jesse CREEL


Marion County Census of 1850 lists him as 52 years of age.

Birth dates for children of Jesse Creel and his wife Elizabeth ?? are
estimated from 1850 Census of Marion County, SC.

Jesse Creel and Sarah Ann Creel were the children of James Creel and an
unknown wife before he married Elizabeth Bartell. Children of Elizabeth
Bartell and James Creel were John James Creel (b. 1824), Elizabeth Mary
Creel (b. 1822), and Martha B. Creel, birth unknown. Emily Creel, Cotter
Creel, Mary Creel, and William Creel were all the children of Jesse Creel
and Elizabeth ?? who was listed in the 1850 Census as 47.

Jesse Creel bought 670 acres of land from Daniel Stone on June 16, 1817.
This was part of the 1000 acre tract received by James Creel as a land
grant oon May 10, 1805. James Creel had sold 1300 acres to Daniel Stone
on March 23, 1813.
